Troops of the 112 Infantry Brigade extinguished a fast-spreading wildfire in Makul Ella on 21 July 2024.

A team of 28 personnel from the 23 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment swiftly responded to the emergency. Under the guidance of the Commander, SF-Central, they effectively brought the fire under control, preventing further damage.
