The Eye Unit of the Teaching Hospital, Jaffna, conducted a charity event on 21 June 2024, in line with Poson Poya Day at the hospital premises.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), participated in the event. Dr. M. Malaravan, the Consultant Eye Surgeon of the Teaching Hospital (Jaffna), warmly welcomed the chief guest at the entrance of the Eye Unit.

Afterwards, he lit the traditional oil lamp and inaugurated the ‘Poson Dansala’ organized by the hospital staff.

Before the culmination the event, the Commander of Security Forces – Jaffna shared his thoughts with the hospital staff, assuring the generous assistance of the Security Forces in an emergency.

The Chief Secretary of the Northern Province, along with other dignitaries and hospital staff, participated in the programme.
