The Board of Management (BOM) meeting at Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) held on 3 May 2024 and Major General S.P.A.I.M.B Samarakoon Hdmc Lsc, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Army presided the meeting.

Brigadier M.G.A.N.B Mahathuwakkara RWP RSP ndc, the Commandant of RVAPL, warmly welcomed the Chairman and all BOM members. He then provided a detailed overview of RVAPL's operations.

The agenda included discussions on administrative and logistic enhancements for RVAPL's production. Decisions were reached collaboratively, focusing on IT upgrades for Yakkala and Alawwa factories, capacity augmentation, new product introductions, green energy initiatives, infrastructure development, fitness facility upgrades, construction projects and skill development in RVAPL.

Following the meeting, the DCOS and BOM members visited RVAPL Yakkala Camp, inspecting all production units and the DCOS commended the factory staff for their efforts. During the factory tour, the DCOS familiarized with the production processes and layout and then planted a Beli (Aegle Marmelos) sapling on the premises.

Afterwards, an interactive session was held at the Officers mess, where the RVAPL Commandant presented a token of appreciation to the BOM members.

Finally, the DCOS penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book. Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Adjutant General, and Senior Officers were also present at the event.
