Troops of the 56 Infantry Division organized a blood donation campaign at the 56 Infantry Division gymnasium on 02 May 2024. This initiative, conducted under the guidance of Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding the 56 Infantry Division, was aimed at addressing the urgent blood needs of Vavuniya General Hospital Blood Bank.

A total of 154 troops participated in this program by donating their blood to support the healthcare efforts of the Vavuniya General Hospital. The Deputy General Officer Commanding the 56 Infantry Division, Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the program.
