New Colonel Commandant of MIC Assumes Office

Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP of Special Forces, assumed duties as the new Colonel Commandant of Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) on 11 April 2024 during a brief ceremony, held at the Regimental Centre, MIC.
The newly appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant and then honoured in a Guard Turnout.
After a short while, the newly appointed Colonel Commandant was invited to the parade ground to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour, accorded in his honour by MIC troops at the Regimental Headquarters.
Then, symbolizing his acceptance of the new office amidst religious observances, Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, left his signature in an official document in the presence of a gathering of Senior Officers.
Further, setting out his scope of work and duties, Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP addressed the troops as a formality. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of MIC also participated in the ceremony.
