Troops of the 18 Gemunu Watch swiftly responded to a wildfire occurred in Monaragala, Maragala Kanda forest reserve on 11 March 2024.

Over 25 troops, under the guidance of Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, engaged in dousing fire.
