Troops of the Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) organized a tree planting program to plant tamarind trees along the roadside of the Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna on 08 March 2024, following the instructions of Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B. Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander, SF-J.

Mr. A. Sivabalasundran, the District Secretary of Jaffna, graced the occasion as the chief guest on his retirement day together with other officials of the Divisional Secretariat. Mr. A. Sivabalasundran and Commander, SF - J symbolically planted a tamarind plant and posed for a group photograph.

During the ceremony, Commander, SF - J emphasized that this project will be continued up to Kadduwan, ensuring that future generations can experience the natural breeze of tamarind trees. Additionally, the Commander, SF - J, presented a special letter of appreciation to Mr. A. Sivabalasundran.
