The 2 (v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops serving Kandy area celebrated their 67 anniversary during 3 - 4 October at their battalion camp premises in Kandy giving priority to religious observances and military formalities.

Major W.S.P Perera, Commanding Officers of 2 (v) SLSR closely supervised all arrangements.

Chanting of 'Pirith', commemoration of War Heroes, alms-giving, cricket tournament, and a musical evening added significance to the anniversary.

In accordance with long-lasting military traditions, troops of the 2 (v) SLSR presented a Guard of Honour salute to their Commanding Officer on the anniversary day (4 Oct). A customary All Rank lunch brought the anniversary segment to an end.
