Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP assumed office as the Director General Welfare of the Army on Monday (16 October) at the Army Headquarters.

He marked the assumption symbolically by placing his signature on an official document, amidst chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha in the presence of Staff Officers of the Branch. He succeeds Brigadier R.P.A.R.P Rajapaksa RSP of the Gajaba Regiment.
