Major General A. L Illangakoon, Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) who is on the eve of his retirement from the Army paid a visit to the 4 SLCMP camp at Mailady, Jaffna on Sunday (30 April), 5 SLCMP camp at Kilinochchi on Monday (1 May) and to the 3 SLCMP camp at Galkulama on Thursday (4 May).

He was well-received by respective Commanding Officers after he was saluted in colourful Guard Turnouts at each entrance. Later, the SLCMP chief planted saplings as symbols of memories, sat for a few group photographs and addressed the troops in both units.

He left few compliments in visitors’ books of respective units.
