The outgoing General Officer Commanding of the 68 Infantry Division, Major General Rohan Ponnamperuma was saluted in accordance with military traditions during a formal farewell, held at the 68 Infantry Division Headquarters premises in Pudukuduiruppu on 23 February 2023.

On arrival, a Guard Turnout at the entrance saluted him before he was invited to a formal Guard of Honour. He also posed for a group photo with all officers and joined refreshments with all ranks at the 68 Infantry Division HQ.

The outgoing GOC was awarded a memento towards the end of the occasion just after the troop address.

All Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Officers and troops were present during the occasion.
