CSO Meets 2 (V) SLSC Troops

Major General Lalith Herath, Chief Signal Officer (CSO), Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid his maiden visit to the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) at Dalukana on Saturday (Jan 28).

Major K.V.A Kodikara, Commanding Officer (CO) warmly welcomed the CSO on arrival and a ceremonial Guard Turnout was presented subsequently, at the entrance before he planted a mango sapling to mark his visit which was followed by a group photograph.

During the troop address, the Colonel Commandant highlighted how to harness professionalism whilst preserving the highest standard of discipline and about the innovations which can be utilized to overcome difficulties when performing duties as a Corps.

Afterwards, a special memento was presented by the CO to the protagonist before he attended an All Rank tea and mingled with the soldiers. Summing up the day, CSO inspected the camp premises and attended a comprehensive briefing of the CO, 2 (V) SLSC.

Prior to the departure, the Colonel Commandant shared his views with Officers during the lunch at the Officers’ Mess and penned down some of his compliments in the Visitors’ Book.
