10 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops of the 553 Infantry Brigade under the 55 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna, extending the Army’s helping hand towards deserving kids at Valluwar pre-school in Maruthankerny donated 30 packs of pre-school items on Wednesday (9).

The distribution programme was organized as per instructions of Brigadier Rohan Jayakody, Commander, 553 Infantry Brigade and it was coordinated by Lieutenant Colonel A.A.B.S. Wanigasekara, Civil Affairs Officer, 553 Infantry Brigade. Major K.H.C. Samanpriya, Commanding Officer, 10 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment arranged the location for distribution.

Generous soldiers of the 553 Infantry Brigade voluntarily provided sponsorship for this distribution spending their own money.
