532 Brigade troops of the 53 Division with sponsorship given by a donor distributed school accessories among 55 needy children studying at Serupitiya Primary School in Dehiaththakandiya on 25 October after visiting the location.

Each student under the project received Rs 1750/= worth school accessories and stationeries for their studies. In response to a request made by the Commander 532 Brigade, Brigadier Sumal Wickramasekara, Mr Asanga Perara, a philanthropist provided the sponsorship for the gesture considering economic burdens of those families, affected badly due to the current crisis.

At the end of the programme, all students and teachers were treated to a delicious lunch, prepared by 532 Brigade troops. Under command Battalions of the 532 Brigade assisted the project with commitment and enthusiasm.
