The customary felicitation for Senior Officers who are elevated to be two star Generals had one more instance at the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) Regimental Center of Dambuluhalmilawewa on 28 October 2022 when Major General Janaka Priyadharshana, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division after his promotion arrived at the MIR Regimental Centre for the first time.

On his arrival, the Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Anura Abeysinghe, the Center Commandant of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment, together with Regimental Council Members after a Guard Turnout salute. Afterwards, he was honoured in a parade before All Ranks sat for lunch together.
