The finals of the Inter Battalion Soft Ball Cricket tournament of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) were held on Thursday (27) at 3 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment cricket ground in Puthukuduirruppu.

17 teams representing different Battalions in the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment participated in the tournament for the purpose of selecting best cricketers to the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment cricket team.

3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment team was able to win the championship while 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment team clinched the runner-up slot.

Major General Rohan Ponnamperuma, General Officer Commanding, 68 Division witnessed the finals and attended the awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, SLSR Center Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
