65 Division troops of the 1 Corps in response to a request of the Consultant Surgeon of the Surgical Ward at Anuradhapura Base Hospital supplied a stock of essential medicines on Tuesday (25).

The stock that could be distributed among needy patients who come for OPD consultations and those who undergo surgery was handed over to the Consultant Surgeon by Major General Prasad Edirisinghe, General Officer Commanding of 65 Division.

Mr Isuru Wijewardane, Chairman, QUALQEM (Pvt) Ltd in Nawala sponsored the stock of medicines at the request of the Army. Lieutenant Colonel J.D.U.T Kumara, Civil Affairs Officer, 65 Division coordinated and organized the event in consultation with the Commanding Officer.
