Troops of the 211 Brigade extending their helping hand for another needy family in the general area of Kadawathrambawa, Medawachchiya are now ready to build a new house for them with the financial assistance, pledged by Engineer, Mrs Oshadi Herath and members of the Old Boys' Association of Royal College, Colombo.

With the blessings of the General Officer Commanding, 21 Division, Major General Upul Weerakoon, 211 Brigade troops of the 21 Division under the Security Force HQ-Wanni on the directions of Brigadier Chaminda Wijayarathne, 211 Brigade Commander on 8 September 2022 laid the corner-stone for construction of this new house to the family of Mrs Premasirige Nisansala Premasiri who is leading a hand to mouth life with her children.

Divisional Secretary for Medawachchiya, Mrs. M C Malawiarachchi, Principal, Royal College - Colombo, Mr S P Jayalath, members of the Old Boys' Association of Royal College - Colombo, Brigadier Wishwajith Vidyananda, Center Commandant Gajaba Regiment, Civil Affairs Officer of the 211 Brigade and several villagers joined the inaugural occasion of the project.

211 Brigade Commander, Brigadier Chaminda Wijayarathna as the Chief Guest laid the first cornerstone, together with senior officers, donors and invitees.
