Brigadier Ravi Pathirawithana of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) assumed office on Friday (26) as the 37th Director, Directorate of Staff Duties at the Army Headquarters during a brief ceremony.

After religious observances, the newly-appointed Director, Directorate of Staff Duties left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office.

Staff Officers in the Directorate and Other Ranks attended the inauguration of the new office.

He succeeded Major General Manjula Kariyawasam who has now been appointed as the General Officer Commanding, 56 Division.
