The Novices Water Polo Championship - 2022, organized by Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union got underway on Saturday (27) at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium swimming pool complex.

The Sri Lanka Army team won the Men’s Open Team Championship and the final results are as follows: Army team (14) against the Navy team (03).

Rifleman R.W.I.S Wimalasiri of the 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was adjudged the Best Player (open category).

Major General Nishantha Manage, Chairman of the Army Aquatic Sports Committee congratulated the winners.
