Indian High Commission's Consul General in Hambantota, M.R Dipin, PR together with a delegation of the Consulate in Hambantota visited the 12 Division Headquarters on Thursday (4) to be warmly received by Major General Lanka Amarapala, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division.

The General Officer Commanding briefed the delegates on the Army's current engagements against non-traditional threats, troops' commitment to the well-being of the people, green agricultural projects, the support, being provided to the smooth conduct of essential services under present circumstances, etc.

The Consul General highly appreciated the services of the military and expressed his pleasure. He left compliments in the visitors' book and made a special note, appreciating the 12 Division's commitment and dedication towards strengthening of military and civil ties.

Towards the end, Major General Lanka Amarapala and the Consul General exchanged mementoes as tokens of goodwill and cooperation.
