The newly-erected guard room at the entrance to the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) HQ at Dambuluhalmillewa was opened by Major General Channa Weerasoriya, Colonel of the Regiment, MIR and Deputy Chief of Staff on Saturday (30).

MIR troops using their engineering and technical abilities constructed the Guard Room with Regimental funds.

The Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks joined the occasion.
