The 65 Division Headquarters in Vavuniya added a new wing to its library and dedicated it as ‘Martin Wickramasinghe Reading Section’ after the ‘Martin Wickramasinghe Trust’ on account of the author’s 46th death anniversary donated a large consignment of his books to this library on 23 July 2022.

The 65 Division’s library has been established in order to improve the reading habits of Army personnel serving there during leisure.

The General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, Major General Prasad Edirisinghe accepted the stock of the books.
