Lectures & Workshops on 'Narcotics & Prevention' Held at SFHQ-J

Officers and Other Ranks of the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J), 51, 52 and 55 Divisions during a four-day long (21-24 June) workshop, held at the SFHQ-J learnt more about narcotics, dangerous drugs, harmful effects and prevention from use, etc following a concept, proposed by Major General Chandana Wijayasundara, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna.

Brigadier (Dr) R.M.M Moneragala, Consultant Psychiatrist and medical experts from the Army Mental Health Unit at Colombo Army Hospital and the Mental Health Team of the Directorate of Army Preventive Medicine and Mental Health contributed to the sessions. Lectures touched on Drug Prevention, Stress Management, Happy Married Life and Life Skills Development, etc. A record gathering of more than 400 troops took part in these sessions.

Those timely important lecture series and workshop sessions concluded highlighting the importance on the awareness against use of narcotics.
