Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East on Thursday (5) held a formal farewell to the outgoing Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Lal Chandrasiri at the SFHQ-East premises.

A formal Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour presented by 4 GW troops honoured him in accordance with military formalities before he addressed the SFHQ-East troops and commended their support and the contribution during his tenure.

After the military formalities, an all rank tea arrangement culminated the day’s formal ceremony.

Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - East, General Officers Commanding of the 22, 23 & 24 Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the farewell ceremony.
