Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe assumed office as the 30th General Officer Commanding of the 51 Division in Kopai on Wednesday (27) during a simple formal ceremony by adhering to health guidelines.

A Guard Turnout at the main entrance greeted the new GOC on arrival before he was ushered to the new office where he signed a formal document and signified the acceptance of new responsibilities as the General Officer Commanding of the 51 Division.

Senior Officers of the 51 Division attended the simple inaugural ceremony.
