After assuming duties as the Commander Security Forces-Central, Major General Vikum Liyanage paid his first official visits to the 12 Division HQ, 121 and 122 Brigade Headquarters and under command battalions of the 23 Gajaba Regiment, 3 Sri Lanka National Guard, 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 18 Gemunu Watch during 9 -11 August.

During the visits, Commander Security Forces-Central was received by Major General Prasanna Ranawaka General Officer Commanding, 12 Division and other respective Brigade Commanders on arrival at respective Headquarters. Briefings were conducted by Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers at their respective locations.

The visiting Commander also paid homage to the sacred Kirivehera and the Kataragama shrine during his visit to the nearest camps.

Brigadier Udaya Serasinghe, Commander 121 Brigade, Brigadier Janaka Pallekumbura, Commander 122 Brigade and Senior Officers participated in these events, adhering all the health guidelines.
