65 Division troops arranged a felicitation ceremony for their newly-promoted General Officer Commanding, Major General Anil Samarasiri on Monday (9) upon his return to the Division HQ after his recent promotion.

The General Officer Commanding on arrival at the venue reviewed the Guard Turn Out, presented by 24 Gajaba Regiment (GR) before combined 10 and 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops presented the Guard of Honour salute in the parade square at the 65 Division HQ compound. During refreshments that followed, he shared a few thoughts with all ranks present at the location.

Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers of the 65 Division Headquarters, Commanding Officers and other ranks were present on the occasion.
