The District Manager of the Red Cross Society in Mullaittivu at the request of Brigadier Sujeewa Perera, Commander, 591 Brigade offered a scholarship to a student of a needy family on 27 July at the 591 Brigade premises.

This scholarship benefits the student, clever at studies who belongs to a low-income family in Kallapadu area.

Mr Nidarshan, Manager, Red Cross Mullaittivu District, 591 Brigade Commander, Commanding Officers of 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 24 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and the Civil Affairs Officer witnessed the award of the scholarship grant.
