Brigadier Saliya Pathmashantha assumed office as the 15th Director of the Directorate of Budget and Financial Management on Monday (9) in his office at the Army Headquarters during a brief ceremony.

After brief religious observances, the newly-appointed Director of the Budget and Financial Management left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office. Prior to this new appointment, he served as the Director, Army Benevolent Fund.

Staff Officers of the Directorate and Other Ranks joined the occasion. He succeeds Brigadier Chanaka Mettandanda.
