The Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Wasantha Madola on Friday (6) conducted an administrative inspection on the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda.

Major General Mahesh Abeyerathne, Colonel Commandant (SLASC) welcomed the Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Officers of the Army Headquarters to the Regimental Headquarters and sat with the Deputy Chief of Staff for a routine meeting in a bid to review different aspects of administration in the Regiment and encourage senior officers and the commanding officers to carry out their routine activities in a formal manner.

Afterwards, the visiting the Deputy Chief of Staff and respective Directors evaluated pluses and minuses of administration procedures in order to rectify lapses which had been indicated as observations. After the closing remarks of the Deputy Chief of Staff, the Centre Commandant thanked the Deputy Chief of Staff, Director Generals, Directors and all attendees who have taken part in the inspection arrangement for productivity of the Regiment.

Later, an exchange of mementos to mark this routine inspection took place between the Colonel Commandant and the Deputy Chief of Staff. Before his exit, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army made complimentary remarks in the Visitors’ Book.
