In response to a request made by Dr M.B Udeni, Consultant Transfusion Physician of the Trincomalee Regional Blood Centre, troops belonging to the 223 Brigade and 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) volunteered to donate blood for the benefit of needy patients at Trincomalee Hospital on Thursday (20) at 6 SLAC Headquarter - Pankulam.

The programme was organized under the direction given by Major General Sanath Aluvihare General Officer Commanding 22 Division and Brigadier Sanath Perera Commander 223 Brigade who coordinated the event with the blessings of the Commander Security Forces-East Major General Channa Weerasooriya.
