UNMISS Sector Commander Makes Routine Visit to SRIMED Hospital

The Sector East Commander UNMISS in South Sudan Brigadier General Deepak Kumar Baniya made a formal visit to the SRIMED Level II Hospital on Thursday (1) to be greeted to a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the SRIMED Level 2 hospital premises.
The visiting Sector Commander was received by Colonel D.R.S.A Jayamanna, Commanding Officer, Level 2 Hospital at the entrance to the compound and the SRIMED hospital’s staff was then introduced to the Sector Commander by the hospital Commanding Officer.
A power point presentation on the role and tasks of the SRIMED Hospital since May 2014 was then presented to him before he was invited to plant a sapling in the premises. Afterwards, the Sector Commander inspected all the sections inside the hospital and conveyed his appreciation to the Commanding Officer and all members of hospital staff for high standards at the location before he addressed the troops.
SRIMED troops in South Sudan contribute to emergency medical evacuation, prevention of spread of COVID-19 infection among UN members, maintenance of high level of discipline, etc and rapport with the general public, etc in Bor, South Sudan. Before his exit, he left some remarks in the Visitors’ book.
