43 More Death Reported - NOCPCO

As of this morning (10), a total of 1537 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, 22 were Sri Lankan expatriates. The rest 1515 were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 475 from Gampaha District, 257 from Colombo District, 125 from Galle District and 658 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (10), a total of 271,482 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 163,887 were reported after the New Year.

By Saturday (10) morning (past 24 hours), 1,451 recovered patients have left Intermediate Care Centers and Hospitals. On 08 July, 43 deaths have been reported including 20 males and 13 females.

By Saturday (10) morning, 1065 persons have left 30 QCs after completion of their quarantining process. As of this morning (10), 5,253 persons in 79 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (10), Golindawatta section 3 of Malawita GN Division in Kegalle Police Division district were immediately isolated.

Meanwhile, Marakkalagama GN Division, in Madampe Police Division in Puttalam district and Kurukkupane GN Divisions in Arachchi Kattuwa under Poilice Division in Puttalam District, Pelena South GN Division of Weligama Police Division in Matara District, Karanawasi GN Division in Karawetti Police area in Jaffna District, the main section of Ambatenna Watta and Clay area in Yatadola East GN Division of Matugama Police area in Kalutara District were completely released from isolation.
