Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, Commander Security Forces Kilinochchi on account of 'Poson' Poya day, fulfilling a long-felt need of All Ranks unveiled a Buddha statue in the shrine room inside the SFHQ Kilinochchi camp temple, amidst the 'Pirith' chanting.

A special Bodhi Pooja was afterwards conducted by the Chief Incumbent at Madukanda Temple, Vauniya Ven Kirigalwewe Wimalasara Thero in connection with the placement of the new statue. Conducted in a procession, the Kilinochchi Commander carried it to the premises respectfully before placing it in the shrine room.

The General Officer Commanding 66 Division Major General Ajith Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding 57 Division Major General Priyantha Jayawardane, Commander Forward Maintenance Area Kilinochchi Brigadier Nilam Herath, Brigadier Admin and Quartering Brigadier Deepal Hathurusinghe, Brigadier General Staff Brigadier Prabath Kodithuwakku, Senior Staff Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the SFHQ-KLN were also present during the occasion, adhering to all health guidelines.
