A 'Shramadana' (self-help) campaign was carried out at Mcleod Elders' Home at Inuvil by the troops of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna at request during 17-19 June on the the directions of the Commander Security Forces Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera.

During the campaign, troops cleaned up the entire premises, removed a large amount of garbage, painted all buildings and beautified the compound placing grass sods and flower pots.

The authorities of the Elders' Home extended their gratitude to the Jaffna Commander and all Army personnel for the assistance and the work they performed. Raw materials for renovation were provided by the Elders' Home.
