A project to distribute dry rations among the needy families who are living in the general area of Thunukkai and Naddankandal got underway on 13 June 2021 under the guidance and supervision of Major General Tikiri Dissanayake, General Officer, Commanding of 65 Division, considering manifold hardships of the general public.

50 Dry Ration packs were donated by the philanthropist, Mr Rangan and Mr Anurakhnthan, DSO (District Sports Officer) attended the event.

District Secretary for Mullaittivu, Major General Tikiri Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding of 65 Division, Divisional Secretaries at Mulaittivu and Thunukkai, Commander, 652 Brigade, Brigadier Udaya Herath along with the Staff Officers and Commanding Officer of the 17th SLLI attended the distribution programme.
