In view of hardships, faced by civilians due to COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions imposed, a dry ration distribution programme was conducted among pregnant mothers in the area. 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops after selecting the beneficiaries from Kalvilan, Tewanpiddi, Nachchikuda and Mulankavil areas in GN Divisions on Thursday (10).

Major General Tikiri Dissanayake, General Officer Commander of the 65 Division, Commander 651 Brigade, Brigadier Wasantha Bandara coordinated the event and offered necessary guidelines.

General Officer Commander of the 65 Division along with Staff Officers and the Commanding Officer 19 SLLI participated in the distribution programme.
