The District Coordinating Officer for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak for Kilinochchi District and Commander Security Forces, Kilinochchi Major General Harendra Ranasinghe had a conference with the visiting Deputy Director General of Health Services at Ministry of Health Dr. S Sridharan when the latter made a visit to Kilinochchi area on Sunday ( 09).

The Kilinochchi Commander presented an elaborate picture of the status quo and the measures need to be taken in Kilinochchi District in order to mitigate the numbers of infected personnel and further transmission of the virus. The meeting also agreed the need to have a well-coordinated effort in dealing with developments with increase of more and more positive cases.

Regional Director of Health Services Kilinochchi Dr. N. Sarvana Bawan, General Officer Commanding, 66 Division - Major General Ajith Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, other medical staff and Senior Staff Officers in the SFHQ -KLN also participated in the meeting.
