In preparation of the forthcoming harvesting season, 65 Division troops with Engineer troops on the guidelines given by Major General Tikiri Dissanayake, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, completely renovated government’s paddy stores in Thunukkai and formally vested them in the Paddy Marketing Board in Kilinochchi on Thursday (4).

The storing of paddy in the forthcoming season is to be carried out shortly and farmers in Kilinochchi areas would be able to sell their harvest directly to this store since it has now been renovated and expanded in consultation with Paddy Marketing Board guidelines. |
