A newly-constructed guard room at the 563 Brigade Headquarters in Omanthai was opened by the Commander 563 Brigade, Brigadier Panduka Perera on Thursday (18).

This new guard room adds colour to the main entrance and facilitates troops taking turns for guard duties. It was erected within a fortnight under the supervision of the Commander 563 Infantry Brigade of the 56 Division HQ.

Officers and Other Ranks of under command Battalions of the 563 Brigade Headquarters gave their support for the project.

Commanding Officer of 21 SLSR and troops of the 563 Brigade Headquarters were also present on the occasion. |
