The Chief Signal Officer (CSO) of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC), Major General Ashoka Peiris made his first visit to the 1 SLSC after assumption of duties as the CSO on Saturday (13).

A Guard Turnout at the entrance greeted him before he was welcomed by the Commanding Officer, 1 SLSC, Lieutenant Colonel H.G.J.T Perera. He was invited to plant a sapling in the compound before he received a briefing on the role and tasks of the 1 SLSC.

He also addressed the troops and joined refreshments with all ranks before he left compliments in the visitors’ book.

Meanwhile, CSO paid a courtesy call on the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Major General Hemantha Bandara on 11 March 2021 during a visit and shared his thoughts on future endeavours. |
