SLSC Colonel Commandant Visits 5 SLSC HQ

Major General Prabath Dematanpitiya, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps paid an official visit to the 5 Regiment Sri Lanka Signal Corps HQ in Padukka on Monday (04).

On arrival he was saluted in a drive-past by the troops of 5 SLSC at the main entrance and welcomed by the Commanding Officer, 5 SLSC Lieutenant Colonel D M I S Bandara of the SLSC.

The day’s proceedings started by planting a sapling, followed by a group photograph. Subsequently, he addressed All Ranks and in the address he emphasized his vision for the future development of signallers. Afterwards, the Commanding Officer presented a memento to the day's visitor as a symbol of appreciation.

Finally, the day's Chief Guest joined all Officers at the Officers’ Mess for lunch and left compliments in the Visitors' Book.

Colonel Ashoka Gunasekera, Centre Commandant and Colonel Dilantha Fernando, Deputy Centre Commandant Sri Lanka Signal Corps were also present during the visit. |
