6 Gemunu Watch (GW) troops under command to the 142 Brigade of the 14 Division under the Security Force HQ-West with the sponsorship of a private donor dostributed a large stock of dry rations to residents, confined to Mattakuliya flats and isolated areas due to COVID-19 epidemic on Thursday (10).

A group of philanthropists, led by Mr Sameera Prasad Mushub of Electrical Private Limited with the support of his friends gave away 715 packs of dry rations, spices and packed dry food varieties.

Brigadier Manada Yahampath, Director Staff Duties at the AHQ coordinated the project, together with the Major General Ranjan Lamahewa, General Officer Commanding, 14 Division and the 142 Brigade Commander of this civil-military cooperation after those philanthropists contacted and assured such support.
