143 Brigade troops based in Thabbowa, Puttalam marked their 10th anniversary on 30 November giving prominence to military traditions.

At first, Brigadier Sajith Liyanage, 143 Brigade Commander was honoured in a Guard Turnout on arrival at the Brigade HQ before he addressed the troops. Afterwards, an all rank tea followed.

The same afternoon, troops gave away lunch packets and prizes to the inmates at Medawachchiya Home for Kids with Special Needs as a special feature of the anniversary programme.

Commanding Officers of under command Battalions, Staff Officers of the Brigade, few officers and Other Ranks attended the day's proceedings by adhering to health instructions. |
