Major General Priyantha Perera, the recently-appointed Commander Security Forces-Wanni after assumption of his office visited main buddhist temples in Vavuniya area on Thursday (05) and met incumbents in those temples.

He called at Sri Bodhidhakshinarama Viharaya, Sri Dalada Viharaya in Madukanda, Sri Sudarshanarama Viharaya in Etambagaskada and received blessings. He also shared views on co-existence, religious harmony and prevention from COVID-19 pandemic, etc during the brief interaction.

A few Senior Officers at SFHQ-Wanni and the 56 Division accompanied the Commander during this visit. |
