In parallel with the ongoing island-wide Dengue prevention campaign, 22 Division HQ troops launched a Dengue Prevention Programme at St. Anthony’s Church premises in Trincomalee on Sunday (13).

General Officer Commanding, 22 Division Major General Dhammika Weerasooriya initiated this programme while the Commander, 221 Brigade, Brigadier Piyantha Kariyawasam coordinated the project.

Troops of 2 Volunteer Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment cleaned the entire church premises including surroundings and cleared possible mosquito breeding places. |
