In response to a request made by Ven Gnanakiththi Thero, Chief Incumbent at Jayasumanarama Temple, Trincomalee, 22 Infantry Division troops provided their assistance to conduct a 'Kapruk Poojawa' and a 'Perahera' on Friday (28).

A large number of devotees, including Daham school students and their parents, villagers participated in the event. The General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division Major General Dammika Weerasuriya closely supervised the Army participation. |
