The recently-appointed Commander Security Forces-Mullaittivu, Major General Jagath Rathnayake on visited 591 Brigade on Wednesday (26) as a formality after his assumption of office.

Major General Priyantha Perera, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division, together with Colonel Sujeewa Perera, 591 Brigade Commander, Commanding Officers of under command battalions welcomed the visiting Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu.

Afterwards, Colonel Sujeewa Perera briefed the visitor on their role and tasks in the area.

Later, Major General Jagath Rathnayake addressed the troops and visited the 24 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and the 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and commissioned their water purification machines. |
