Brigadier Priyantha Jayawardana of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment assumed office as the 16th Director, Directorate of Assets Management at the Army Headquarters on Wednesday (22) during a brief ceremony, attended by several Senior Officers.

After religious observances, Brigadier Priyantha Jayawardana signed an official document and signified the acceptance of the new office. Staff Officers of the Directorate and Other Ranks joined the occasion.

He succeeds Major General Thilak Weerakoon who has now been appointed as the General Officer Commanding, 24 Division. |
